About
About Stadium Insight
A stadium reference that says where every figure came from and how well checked it is.
Stadium Insight publishes capacities, seating plans, away sections and the practical detail of getting into a ground — with each figure attributed to the club, operator or governing body that published it, and marked according to whether a person has opened that page and read the figure off it.
What the site is
Most stadium pages on the web answer a capacity question with a single number and no provenance, and the number has usually been copied from another site that copied it. This one is built the other way round: the source comes first, the figure is whatever that source actually says, and where two official publishers disagree both figures are printed with their publishers attached rather than averaged into one that nobody stated.
That has consequences a reader will notice. Some grounds show two capacities. Some pages say a club has stopped publishing something, because that is the finding. And a stadium only gets a page here where its club or operator publishes enough for the page to say something the club's own site does not — the rest stay rows in the rankings, which is the honest place for them. The reasoning behind all of that is set out in the editorial method.

Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, the useful report names the page and the source that says otherwise — a link to a club, operator or governing-body page carries more weight than any other kind of correction, because that is the only kind of evidence this site accepts in the first place. Contact.
